A private paediatric consultation begins with a detailed medical history, including a review of the child’s pregnancy and neonatal history, family medical history, previous illnesses, and the symptoms and management of any current or acute conditions.
This is followed by a comprehensive paediatric physical examination, including an assessment of nutritional status (weight and height measurement and percentile calculation), as well as an examination of the hair, teeth and skin.
As part of our diagnostic approach, we aim to develop a personalised examination plan based on the child’s individual needs, focusing on the tests that are necessary and clinically relevant. The treatment plan and next steps are discussed with the parents, and, where appropriate, the child is also involved in the decision-making process.
At our private outpatient clinic, laboratory tests can be performed on site, and we also provide access to modern diagnostic equipment for any additional examinations that may be required.
Paediatric consultations are primarily available in person, but if preferred, you can also consult your doctor online. When booking an appointment, simply select our 20- or 40-minute paediatric video consultation.
